Brands associated image to contemporary art
In Europe, marketing of fashion is taken seriously. To manage and secure location by the luxury market, some brands are increasingly investing in branding and associate the concept and brand image to contemporary art. In Paris, in addition to the Cartier Foundation, the Foundation Louis Vuitton opens the door to display art collections. The Prada Foundation has just opened the “Art City” in Milan. Meanwhile, the hottest “art exhibition” London is the Alexander McQueen at the Victoria & Albert Museum.
Fashion and art have always gone hand in hand and there is a curious fact that is worth quoting: “who the Leonardos and Michelangelos today” in the 1980s, Andy Warhol observed in Milan, and indicated the Italian designers. It may even be an exaggeratio, but clearly McQueen deserves recognition as an artist. Moreover, the postmodern concept combines fashion and craft and, yes, sometimes exceed several works of contemporary art. It is the tip of the NCC Ecobrands group: if you go to Europe, visit the Foundations. Check out the images.
